It can help to take all of the stress out of a night out, and you’ll really enjoy getting to your table more quickly and getting the food in front of you in a hurry. Before driving to a St Louis Asian restaurant, call them up and tell them you’re on the way.
Basically, call-ahead seating is your ticket to skip the line. When you get to a restaurant, they often tell you it will be 30 minutes to an hour before a table is ready. If you call ahead, they start that countdown right then. By the time you get there, you may only have to wait for five minutes, as if you were in line the whole time.
You don’t want to call too early, of course, or you’ll never make it by the time your name is called and you’ll have to start over. However, if you have to spend 20-30 minutes driving to the restaurant anyway, calling ahead puts that time to good use.
