Research Says We Should Always Leave Work On Time, But Why?

Most of us spend hours upon hours at work each week. In fact, a lot of us probably spend too much time at work. Research says we should always leave work on time rather than staying an extra few minutes. Chances are high that the average person doesn’t earn more money by sticking around for longer than necessary. However, doing so can bring added stress and other problems.

For most workers, it’s a better idea to leave on time, no matter what. There’s a psychological benefit here because no extra work-related stress accumulates. Forming this particular habit ensures we have more time to spend on endeavors outside of work, too. By leaving work on time, workers can avoid consequences for working overtime or working off the clock. Striking a proper work-life balance is more than necessary in this day and age.
