The Stormwater Software performs deep characterization of the soil and protection against the entry of water from above. The interaction between the fabric (whose dimensions are large compared to those of the granules) and the soil effectively increases the internal friction angle and cohesion. At the moment there is still no satisfactory theory to calculate the required quantity, type or other geometric characteristics of the geotextile reinforcement. Installations are usually carried out through empirical indications or attempted methods.
Characteristics of the land according to the foundation plant. As a basic geotechnical practice the foundations must be placed below the following levels: frost line, lower limits of areas subject to significant volume changes due to humidity fluctuations and lower limits of easily compressible surface layers (organic materials, peat, other organogenic deposits, unconsolidated deposits, waste etc.).
The foundations must be made below the frost line to avoid a possible deformation, due to the frost itself, of the buildings and, above all, because the alternating freeze-thaw involves the ef to maintain the land in an unconsolidated state.
