Workout Vacations-Not An Oxymoron

When one thinks of the term “vacation“, they are probably picturing a sandy beach, cocktails, and getting a tan. However, there is a unique new trend putting a twist on the traditional vacation. Workout vacations are the hot new experience in getaways, helping people relax, have fun, and improve their fitness, all at once.

While some may dread exercise, they may change their mind once they consider the benefits. In addition to the obvious calorie burning, working out can boost mood, improve sleep, and increase energy, no matter what one’s age. Now imagine enjoying those positive aspects in a tropical paradise-what could be better? These vacations may also include unique activities such as rock climbing, parasailing, and horseback riding for unique physical fitness experiences.

Working out on vacation may seem counter-intuitive, but the benefits of exercise are so numerous, upon closer examination, the appeal is clear.
