Words Of Sympathy Upon The Loss Of A Loved One

When family, friends and acquaintances lose someone close, sending a sympathy card is a natural response. All of us hope to let the person suffering the loss to know we care. Sometimes the card truly says what they need to here. At other times the words are generalized and simplistic, not really as personal as we would like.

Examples of common sympathy card quotes:

1. Heaven is rejoicing for its newest soul, with my deepest sympathy
2. Always remember your hearts will be connected for eternity, my deepest condolences
3. Over time your memory will become a treasure, my heartfelt sympathy
4. To comfort, I’m very sorry for your loss

The sympathy card may even name the relationship of the bereaved: father, mother, sister or brother. It will always have words meant to help soothe the pain of the loss. Still no one expects the pain to dissipate quickly, it will take time. And, that’s a fact we’ve all come to accept.
