If you have goals in life but just aren’t quite sure how to achieve them, life coaching may be the answer for you. It can also be helpful for anyone who lacks direction or motivation, or simply isn’t sure what to do with their life. It isn’t therapy or career counseling; rather a coach’s job is to help you to identify goals, which might be personal, professional or financial, and then devise a strategy to meet those goals. Many people know what it is they want from life, but aren’t quite sure how to get there, and those who have experienced a huge change such as divorce or unemployment can also benefit from coaching. Your coach may use techniques such as hypnosis, visualization and relaxation to help to identify and achieve goals. However, a coach isn’t a magician and they are generally only able to help people who truly want to change their ways, or reach a goal.
