Heart disease is when a person notices pressure, discomfort or pain in the chest, arm or below the breastbone. Discomfort can radiate to the back, jaw, throat or arm. Other symptoms are fullness, indigestion, sweating, nausea or dizziness.

There are several things you and I can do to lessen our chances of getting heart disease such as controlling blood pressure, keeping cholesterol and triglycerides levels under control, managing weight, eating a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, not smoking and managing stress.
