Transporting Pets By Air

Transporting pets by air needn’t be stressful for you or your pet. As the airlines tend to have different regulations concerning the transport of a dog or cat, you should firstly check with your airline. In general you will have two options – to transport your pet in the cabin, or in the cargo area and this is largely determined by the size and weight of your pet. If your animal is in the cabin with you, the carrying container they are in must fit comfortably under the seat in front of you. Make sure you buy an airline approved pet container, one that is sturdy and has plenty of room, as well as is easy to carry. It’s also highly recommended to take your pet to the vet before you fly to make sure the experience wont be too stressful.
