Opened in 1997 in Santa Rosa, CA, this family owned business generates a large amount of tourist traffic because of its annual release of its Pliny the Elder beer. The famous brewery is also known for serving popular mouth-watering beers such as Consecration, Temptation, Beautification, Defenestration and Blind Pig. It also uses Brettanomyces which is a special type of acetic acid yeast that the average winery steers clear of due to possible contamination.
