The Need For AFSS Certification

Every year, building owners are required to submit an Annual Fire Safety Statement. This must be signed by a registered fire safety practitioner. Failure to comply can result in heavy fines.

The certificate will signify that all essential fire safety measures in the structure is in good working condition. They will be useful in case a fire a breaks out.

It also means that these safety measures have been examined by a competent practitioner who has all of the qualifications for the job.

AFSS certification denotes compliance with installation designs and maintenance regulations according to the applicable Australian standards.

All these just means that the building is safe and so are its neighbours. It is an important thing to keep in mind as prevention is better than cure.

Be sure to get the services of a trusted fire safety practitioner for the task.
