Teaching English In Cambodia

Many foreigners are teaching English in Cambodia, ranging from highly qualified professionals with many years of experience to backpackers volunteering to teach in orphanages. It should be noted that highly skilled expats are bountifully paid compared to any other group. The average salary for these expats is $10-$14 per hour. Many expats find it easy to teach English in Cambodia, following low job requirements. Landing a bountiful teaching job can be possible without a bachelor’s degree. All you need is to be white-skinned and attractive looks.

However, having a TEFL teaching certificate increases the chances of landing a good job and pay. To teach in an excellent international school, you need to hold a bachelor’s degree and have relevant teaching experience. There is a significant difference in pay between local and international schools. Teaching in good international schools attracts an excellent and handsome salary.
