Conflict is a normal, natural part of the human existence. As long as we remain individuals with our own unique sets of fears, ideas, passions, and perspectives, we will always and forever, have conflict. As true as that statement is, having conflict is not really the issue. Instead the issue is really how we deal with conflict. What matters is our conflict style and how much we are willing to understand the conflict style of ‘the other.’
Style Matters Conflict Style
It helps to get to know and understand the different conflict styles that exist. Doing so will help you to better understand yourself as well as others. Instead of acting out or playing the blame game, you will likely become better at manoeuvering difficult situations and people without losing your cool. This makes for better, more fruitful, and deeply satisfying relationships right across the board.
