The use of a Sterilization Wrap in the medical field if quite important as per the high demand for safety and protection against the new superbugs caused by the high levels of bacteria and germs present in any air found in any medical facility especially the surgeries and theatres.
Even the best of private facilities are exposed to these bugs as air occurs anywhere no matter how much it gets purified.
The sterilization wraps are used in conjunction with the sterilization paper packages and almost always on what is called surgical trays.
The wrap is usually a clean sanitized green in color, which is the universal color indicating for surgical use, in which your surgical tray containing all the different tools, which varies as per each type of surgery that needs to be done.
Each tray is wrapped in a specific way before being inserted into the sterilization package and only then autoclaved.
Once sterilized it is stored in a sanitized area until it is ready to be used.
When it is opened, outside package is opened with normal sanitary gloves but the actual wrap must always only be handled with sterilized gloves.
