Single Edge Razor Blades For The Perfect Shave

Single edge razor blades have long had the reputation of providing the perfect shave. Although the trend recently has been towards multiple blade razors, there are distinct advantages to using a single blade when shaving. A single blade is less likely to cause skin irritation as compared to multiple blade razors. When combined with a good pre-shave oil, shaving cream and after shave lotion, a single blade provides a very comfortable shave.

These razors are also a good choice for men who tend to suffer from ingrown hairs. A multiple blade razor works by having the first blade pull the beard out from the skin, with the second blade cutting it extremely close. This action can often cause individual hairs to become ingrown, causing skin bumps and irritation. A good single blade can comfortably cut close to the skin, but with less risk of uncomfortable pulling and ingrown hairs.
