Seeing Sydney On A Walking Tour

Walking tours are often the best way to really see a city and can take you off the regular tourist trail. There are dozens of Sydney walking tours to choose from, most taking in the city’s iconic sights such as the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Rocks area. Walks typically cost about $15 and take a couple of hours, often taking place regardless of the weather. Most are led by experienced guides who know their city and are able to bring its past to life. Many tours take in a local pub or café, especially those that include the city’s Rocks area, where there is no shortage of historic and atmospheric taverns. And one way to really see Australia’s largest city on foot is to take part in the Bridge Climb, in which a guide will take you safely to the top of the Harbour Bridge.
