Disposable coffee cups have detrimental impacts on the environment when continuously used over time. When such cups are manufactured in large quantities, we lose many trees used as the production of raw materials. For instance, over fifty-eight billion disposable coffee cups are produced in the United States of America annually. America uses many trees to do the production thus lose a lot of oxygen and the avenues that absorb carbon dioxide are taken away.
During the production and shipping of disposable coffee cups, large quantities of chemicals are emitted to the atmosphere as a result. Also, when composing and producing the cups methane gas is emitted. On average 0.11 kilograms of carbon monoxide gas is given off during the processes.
Therefore, reusable coffee cups are the best option since they last longer and as such, they combat continuous production that has detrimental effects on the environment.
