Part 107 Test: Become A Drone Pilot

In order to become a certified small drone pilot, there are certain things you must do. You must be eligible, which means you must be a certain age, understand English and be physically and mentally able to fly a drone that weighs 55 pounds or less. Most importantly, you must pass the Part 107 test.

This test consists of two parts, which are the initial and recurrent sections. The initial section consists of 60 exam questions that you must finish within 60 minutes and get a minimum of 42 questions correct. The recurrent section has 40 questions that you must get a minimum of 56 questions correct within 80 minutes. Thus, each section requires that you get a minimum score of 70 percent.

The good thing is that many sites provide practice questions for this exam. This should be helpful for many would-be drone pilots.
