Introduction To Custom Framing

The PDC is influenced by three factors: diaphragm opening. focal length. distance between the subject and the objective and size of the sensor. With smaller apertures it corresponds to a greater depth of field, whereas larger apertures such as f1.4 (or even f2.8) correspond to a smaller depth of field, the wider the diaphragm is open, the wider the beam of light that draws the image for Custom Framing on the sensor.

Vice versa, the narrower the diaphragm is, the more precise the light beam that draws the image will be, so you will have a greater area of sharpness in front of and behind the subject. Attention, with diaphragms that are too closed you can run into a particular phenomenon, or diffraction, which leads to a loss of sharpness. By setting the camera in manual or opening priority, you have the possibility to expand or reduce the PDC.
