Hydraulic seals are designed to prevent leakage of pressurized fluid to unwanted places and cause a loss of pressure. Seals are normally found around the piston rod inside the hydraulic cylinder. Over time, the seal is bound to get worn out and cause leakages and loss of force. In such cases, hydraulic seal replacement is usually the only remedy for the problem. This is a job for mechanical engineering professionals with enough experience in the industry.
Replacing Hydraulic Seals
After finding the right firm to do the job, the first thing they will do is take a look at your hydraulic system. You can either dismantle the cylinder and take it to them or have them pay you a visit at your workplace. After dismantling the cylinder and taking out the piston, the seals can be replaced before the system is reassembled.
