Fixing scratches on cars is not that difficult if you know how to do it. There are basically three types of car scratches: surface-level, small, and deep. A surface-level scratch is a scratch that your fingernail doesn’t catch when you run it over. These scratches can be best addressed with some toothpaste.
If your fingernail does catch the scratch, it’s either large or small. Before you start to clear such scratches, make sure the affected region is fully clean before you buff the spot or apply any product. Small scratches are best handled with a car scratch removal product.
Bigger scratches would invariably need a fresh coat of paint. There would be prepping, sanding, rinsing and drying, painting and waxing involved. Since this is a more thorough repair job compared to other processes, it should be carried out by professionals only.
