Guide To The LCO Electrolyte

The essence of hybrid production technology is that the positive and negative electrode lattices are made up of different alloys: positive – from lead-antimony and negative – from a lead-calcium alloy. The hybrid batteries therefore combine the positive properties of the two technologies, namely: high starting currents, low water consumption of the calcium batteries and the resistance of the low antimony content. The batteries of the Dominator brand are produced using hybrid technology and LCO Electrolyte.

Battery operation in the charging mode can cause the accumulation of an explosive gas mixture under the battery cover resulting from the decomposition of water into oxygen and hydrogen. When a spark or an open flame enters the battery or the gas discharge channel, an explosive mixture explodes. Spark of electric cables or polar terminals, a lit cigarette and a flame from a lit match can cause an explosion.
