Data types used in Technology Cloud Solutions can be distinguished in primitive, single (simple) and composite (complex) types. Primitive data types are the basis for the definition of other types of data. A primitive type is defined by the language itself, and can not be described in terms of a different data type. In C, for example, char, int and float are primitive types.
Widespread primitive types include Boolean, also known as bool, flag or logic. May contain the value yes or no. Other names for these values are true and false. Character, also known as char. These can contain exactly one ANSI or EBCDIC or Unicode character. The number of bytes that this takes is dependent on the type of language. Historically, it was usually one byte, but now there are more bytes reserved for a variable of type char.
Integer, also known as int, short, long, signed the representation of integers, though it should be emphasized that the two are not the same.
