An airline ticket refund is an easy thing to get if you bought a full fare or first class ticket, and don’t use it, regardless of the reason. However, if you bought a discounted coach fare, getting a refund may take a little more work. It often depends on the reason for asking for your money back; if it’s in case of sickness, death in the family or other medical emergency, you may be eligible for a refund. Bad weather, or canceled or delayed flights almost certainly mean you can get your money back, or at least change to another flight without penalty. In many cases, ticket refunds can be processed online, making the procedure quick and easy. And even if your ticket is not refundable, many airlines will allow you to use it as a credit towards the cost of your next trip.
