On Windows systems (2000 ~ XP with Service Pack 2) with mapped network drives, it may be that when connecting USB memory the system will not show files. In that case, we must go to disk manager (diskmgmt.msc) to locate the USB SPI drive and manually modify it.
In Windows XP, it may be the case if the USB memory is disconnected using the Safely Remove feature, Windows could automatically dial the device and disable it as problematic.
Disk encryption refers to the encrypting of an entire hard drive or individual partitions to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive data. A hard drive encryption can be performed for the entire hard drive or individual partitions. However, the data required for booting must be available unencrypted on the hard disk or decrypted by a special boot manager.
To use the data, pre-boot authentication is performed, which takes place mostly by means of a password.
