You can find cheap villas in Portugal all over the country, although many buyers look along the south coast, an area known as the Algarve. It’s one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, known for its beautiful and clean beaches, spectacular scenery and delightful fishing villages, as well as large hotels and resorts. The area is also easy to reach too; the main airport in the Algarve is Faro, and it’s located within a couple of hours drive from anywhere along the coast. Although Portugal is generally affordable, look for a villa inland rather than overlooking the sea if you want to keep your costs down.
