Finding A Good Private Tutor

There are plenty of private English tutors, although it takes some research to find the right one. Browsing profiles online is helpful, although a better way to find a good tutor is to get recommendations from family, friends or teachers. Once you have a couple of tutors who seem to be a good fit, it’s a good idea to schedule an introductory meeting with them in person. Not only is that an opportunity to have your questions answered, and evaluate their relevant experience and qualifications, but it’s a good chance to see how you or your child interacts with the tutor. Are they patient and able to listen? Do they explain ideas and concepts in an easy to understand way? And of course, the hourly rate will be a major consideration too, as well as the tutor’s availability and schedule.
