Anyone working on earning an ITIL certification will want to take a moment to familiarize themselves with the different types that are currently available. A framework is in place to provide students with a modular approach. As a result, there are a number of various qualifications that those wishing to work in this dynamic field could earn.
Five certification levels are offered for each type of module:
• Foundation
• Practitioner
• Intermediate
• Expert
• Master
Unless you audit a class, each time you complete a module you earn a certain number of credits. Once you receive 22 in any specific field, you’ll qualify for an expert certificate. Those who wish to go on to master level will need to demonstrate additional skills that show they truly have a complete command of the material.
Since there are also five areas of practice to get your diploma in, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from.
