From the analysis of the refluxed mixture the average water/binder ratio of the injected phase is deduced and, consequently, it is possible to go back to a preventive estimate of the consolidation capacity. Considering the concept of submerged specific weight it is evident how the intergranular pressure can be increased by removing the effect of the water push; the effect can be achieved by lowering the level of the aquifer. In many cases the action is not possible or sometimes represents only a temporary expedient that can be detected by a Sewer Drain Camera.
If, on the other hand, the action is possible, there is an immediate increase in the intergranular pressure of γwz where z represents the change in the piezometric level (of which, vice versa, it is necessary to check the side effect of the site area for any involvement with other structures).
