There are many components in an automatic gate opener but the motor is the most important. This can be a DC or AC motor. The motor can also be an above-ground or underground motor. Above ground motors are easy to install, but they are also easy to tamper with. Underground gate motors, on the other hand, are mounted underneath the gate, so they are not easily accessible. This means that they are not easy to tamper with. Furthermore, they are coupled directly to the base of the gate, so they deliver a higher torque compared to motors that require additional gearing mechanisms.
Buying Gate Motors
When looking for an underground gate motor to purchase, make sure it has the right power input, i.e. AC/DC, and produces the torque you need to open the type of gate you have, be it a swinging or sliding gate.
