In my experience, buying used gadgets is always a bad idea. Speaking from personal experience, buying used phones for sale hardly ends well. Apart from the general possibility that the extended service contract may have expired, there’s also the strong possibility that it may have been stolen. But none of that should be a hindrance.
The temptation of buying something of good quality at a giveaway price should never cloud your judgment. Which is why you must only buy from dependable sources. That way you get get free repairs or a replacement phone if it starts malfunctioning.
Make no mistake about it, malfunctions are the norm rather than the exception. If the phone develops problems at a later stage, be slow on your words of disapproval, but fast on your feet to report any problems. That way they can’t claim that it may be your fault because of extended use.
