Buying A French Country Cottage

Whether you are looking for a second home, or want to relocate to France, French country cottages are popular. One of the most sought after areas of France is Brittany, partly because of its proximity to the UK. This westernmost area of France is also one of the most affordable, is known for its excellent food and drink, dramatic coastline, its myths and legends, and largely unchanged way of life. It’s possible to buy a traditional cottage for far less than you would back home, especially if you don’t mind some basic renovation work. And renting out your cottage for some extra income when you aren’t staying there is a popular option with many buyers. But whether it’s for the food, scenery or way of life, it isn’t hard to see why France remains one of the most popular countries with overseas buyers.
