Firstly saving the game wherever you want is possible by pushing on your controller the options button. Select the system option using the d-pad and there you will see an option to exit the game which you must choose bringing you back to the main menu and if you select the continue option you will return to the game and start playing immediately.
Via your (CLIENT) home screen you can also quit the game but it not advised as this is how you corrupt the saved file and end up with an unplayable game.
Please note to prevent the abuse of the save file system, as for an example, you can’t just undo any mistakes by quitting and then reloading the game.
