Comic book collection is undoubtedly no longer a fringe hobby. Business Insider reported in 2014 that annual comic book sales had risen to $870 million from $265 million in 2000, with much of the interest stemming from the fact that comic cook movies are being produced on a regular basis. In just the last couple of years box offices have seen records smashed by movies such as Batman vs. Superman, The Avengers and Wonder Woman. There are even new super heroes being created (i.e. Deadpool) and this has also generated interest in comic book collection. Even if you aren’t especially knowledgeable about comic books you might want to consider purchasing some of the most expensive collector comics for investment purposes. Some of the most famous comics produced by DC and Marvel have seen auction price records smashed in recent years, and all indicators point to higher prices in the future.
