Is Toddler Tube surgery safe?
Although this is a very safe and common surgery we must always as in any surgery from babies to adults, that there are always risks like infections, bleeding and some anesthesia problems. Sometimes you find the hole in the eardrum doesn’t close properly after the toddler tube comes out and then it has to be closed surgically.
Are the tubes themselves safe?
As this procedure is always advised for toddlers with consistent buildup of fluid behind the eardrum which causes hearing loss and affects speech development or even for constant painful ear infections, then yes it is safe for your child’s future.
